About HivesPublisher

A team of writers, editors and designers who take a book from rough idea to retail listing.

Our story

Why We Built A Single Home For Writing, Design And Publishing

Authors told us the same thing again and again: finding a writer was hard, but coordinating a writer, an editor, a cover designer, a typesetter and a marketer was harder. Files got lost, deadlines drifted and nobody owned the whole picture. HivesPublisher (also written Hives Publisher) was set up so one team owns the picture.

We work with first-time authors, founders, clinicians, coaches and working novelists. HivesPublisher has a head office in Cheyenne, Wyoming and a production office in Karachi, Pakistan, which lets us keep a project moving across time zones.

The name comes from the way a hive works. Many specialists, each good at one thing, coordinated around a single goal. For you, that means a lead writer, an editor, a designer and a project manager who all know your book.

What we stand for

Three Principles Behind Every Project

The book sounds like you

We do not apply a house style. Voice work comes first, so readers meet the author in every chapter.

Straight answers

If an idea needs more development, or a service will not help your goals, we say so before you spend money.

Specialists at every stage

Drafting, editing, typesetting and marketing are separate crafts. Each is done by someone who does it daily.

Why authors stay

Six Reasons Authors Keep Working With One Team

01

Writers matched by genre

A memoir needs a different writer than a space opera. We assign people who already read and write in your category.

02

Confidential by default

An NDA is signed before you share anything, and your name is the only one that appears on the book.

03

Pricing you can read

You get a written quote that lists what is included. Royalties are never shared with us, now or later.

04

Revisions until approved

Ask for changes on any approved outline or chapter. We keep going until you are happy to sign off.

05

Books with a point of view

We push for a clear angle and a distinct voice, so the book is memorable rather than merely complete.

06

One named contact

A project manager owns your timeline, answers messages and tells you what happens next at every stage.

Have A Book In Mind? Let’s Talk About It

Describe the project in a few lines and we will reply with questions, a plan and a written quote.
